Residential Trips

Residential courses organised by the school are an optional, but invaluable part of the Primary curriculum.  Pupils benefit enormously from the experience, both educationally and socially.

Residential trips are offered to children in Years 5 and 6 each year.  These trips offer an excellent chance to develop confidence and build some independence as the children prepare for the transition between junior and senior education.

These trips last for six days and the children are given the opportunity to develop their academic experiences as well as explore the many different extra curricular challenges on offer.

Year 5 – Greece

Centred initially in Athens, the children experience the ‘cradle of civilisation’ and the wonderful opportunities Athens has to offer, before experiencing island life with a cruise in the Saronic Gulf, before heading into the Peloponnese and experiencing the early citadel of Mycenae and one of the most iconic theatres in the world at Epidaurus.

Year 6 – London

This trip takes in some of the most iconic tourist attractions that London has to offer: official visits to the theatre, the Tower of London and Tower Bridge, HMS Belfast, the London Dungeons, the Millennium Wheel, the Science Museum, amongst others.  However, travel on the Tube, shopping on Regent Street, dinner in Covent Garden, and playing frisbee in Hyde Park are just some of the experiences that make this such a unforgettable experience.

Ski Trip – Courmeyer, Italy

Year 6 students are given the opportunity to participate in the Secondary School ski trip.  The trip itself is open to all pupils from Year 6 to Year 10. The resort visited is Courmayeur, Italy. No skiing experience is needed, as the students will receive four hours of tuition per day.
