Theme
From ancient buildings and family homes to classrooms, streets, and cityscapes, this year’s theme — “If Walls Could Speak” — invites pupils to explore the hidden voices, memories, and histories embedded in the spaces around us.
Pupils might imagine:
- The stories of people who have passed through a place
- Moments of joy, conflict, or change witnessed over time
- Cultural, historical, or personal narratives
- Messages about the future as well as the past
This is an opportunity to bring the theme to life through imagination, empathy, and storytelling and students may use any art medium to complete their work.
