About BISAK

BISAK is one of the oldest British Curriculum Schools in Saudi Arabia. The school originally moved to a new campus after leaving our previous site of 22 years (1998-2018). Our school is located on one large campus in the new residential area of As Sadafah in Al Khobar.

BISAK is a co-educational, international school that provides a British style of education for approximately 930 pupils from the age of 3 to 18. The school is licensed under Saudi Arabian Law as a private and non-profit-making school. It is registered with the Ministry of Education of Saudi Arabia as a ‘Foreign Community School’ and with the Department for Education (DfE) in the UK.

BISAK aims to prove the best possible British education whilst enhancing pupils’ educational experience with the richness of the local culture. The distinctive British character of the school is a major attraction for families and staff, alongside the excellent reputation at the Ministry of Education, KSA. We are rightly proud of our multinational community, as BISAK pupils represent over 50 nationalities, which makes our children’s experience here like no other in the UK. Parents appreciate that the school is innovative in its approach to teaching and learning and keeps up to date with UK and international initiatives. This is very apparent from not only the conversations, but the emails, letters and cards received from both present and departing families.

High standards are achieved by the pupils both academically and beyond, through our school values:

B Belief – developing positive attitudes, consideration and helping others.
I Internationalism – growing as global citizens.
S Success – always learning in everything we do.
A Aspiration – nothing is impossible.
K Knowledge – of ourselves, each other and the world around us.

We are a selective school. All pupils undergo an admission and assessment process and must meet our minimum expectations to gain a place at the school. Consequently, we do not have an SEN department. Given the nature of our pupil body, English is not their first language. However, as pupils on entry are required to have a good level of English proficiency, extensive support is not required. However, support is offered across the curriculum and directly through English lessons as when pupils need support.
